Accomplishments:
Developed & implemented cost savings routing for the integration of Roma Food merger plus K-12 business (21M of additional business) that reduced expense vs. sales from 8.4 to 5.2% while maintaining a 4.1% for original business. Developed best in PFG tracking of customer issues through People net, monthly Delivery Service Index (DSI) of 85% time window adherence. Increase drivers from 68 to 100 non union associates.

Responsible for the distribution of 72 million cases from multiple locations. Supervise a managerial staff of 5 managers, 8 supervisors, 19 hourly associates, 265 warehousemen and 72 private fleet drivers. All inbound Trans-Atlantic Steamship Lines, cargo containers from France. Team leader of National Customer service/Transportation supply chain re-engineering, optimization diagnostics in collaboration with Delloitte and Touch‚ consultants.
Member of Management/Consultant team that analyzed and selected software used to track national sales force forecasting and load tendering. Directed compilation and preparation of statistical surveys to determine traffic -trends. Made recommendations for development of and compliance with transportation policies, procedures and programs
Responsible for all rate negotiations with carriers and warehouses.
 
Accomplishments:
 
Negotiation team (all modes of transportation) - savings of $4m.
Designed and implemented distribution network that reduced the distribution
Cost/case from $1.20 to $0.85. 
Implemented Vendor Management Inventory, Customer Service Tracking Mechanism and increased payload resulting in a substantial savings and load loading efficiency.
Identified and directed outsourcing of private fleet for savings of $700K.

Responsibilities:   Operations Manager
Administered all aspects of UPS facilities management with an annual operation budget of $70M, that included instruction of  weeklong computer training courses designed for management covering dispatch techniques using UPS-specific dispatch software program in collaboration with Road-Net. Maintained and developed training programs for employees covering occupational safety, defensive driving, DOT and OSHA compliance as well as value and diversity training and motivational sessions with staff.
